Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Sunday 2nd April - All 17 seen

    Cows 21, 35 and 226 were grazing on the corner of Sandy Hill at 10:20 this morning.  Cows 20 and 235 were happily grazing on the other side of the path.  Older cow 940 plus youngsters 219 and 220 were munching on grass a bit further along around ///amaze.measures.fried.  Cow 30 was buried deep in the gorse bushes behind the pill box.

    Youngster 213 was lying down, relaxing and chewing her cud in the area around ///slacker.boss.norms at 10:45.  The other seven were all happily grazing close by.  They were munching on grass, gorse and heather.  After a short while, youngsters 217 and 230 lay down close to cow 213 and started to chew their cud.   Youngster 217 was fine again today, no sign of any injury, and he was moving around completely fine.

    The cows were all good today.
