Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Wednesday 26th April - All 17 seen

    Youngsters 217, 219, 220, 221, 222 and 226 were all found grazing in the area around ///hockey.mess.puddles at 16:40 this afternoon.  Several were wading through large pools of water and climbing small hills to get the best dinner.  Older cows 72 and 940 were grazing in the bushes around ///hoped.units.regard.  Older cow 30 and youngsters 228, 230 and 235 were munching on leaves around ///avid.routs.dabble.

    Cows 20, 21, 33, 35 and 213 were all busy grazing around ///dome.headers.hikes a short while later.  They were soon joined by cows 30, 222 and 230.   

    Youngsters 217, 220 and 221 continued to graze in the area where they were first found, slowly wandering towards ///hotel.study.suits where they were enjoying some gorse.

    Cows 72, 219, 226, 228, 235 and 940 slowly set off down the path alongside James Bond Pond, grazing as they went.  They continued wandering and had made it as far as ///scorch.valued.waving by 17:40.

    The cows were all good today, albeit all over the place.
