Steers 21, 217, 228, 230 and 270 were grazing in the area around ///fails.thuds.dolls at 10:00 this morning. Youngster 220 and yearling 271 were eating in the gorse bushes close by. They were all soaking wet following the earlier rain.
A short time later, there was a lot of mooing heard in the distance. I wandered down to see what was occurring, and the seven cows followed me. The other eight cows came wandering along from the direction of Horse Pond and stood in the area around ///recap.moguls.hoped. The two groups stood looking at each other for a while, before youngster 217 wandered down and started to graze beside youngster 219. The second group of cows were as wet as the first.
The cows soon got back to grazing, mainly eating grass and gorse. The older cows all headed into the burnt bushes to eat some more chargrilled gorse. Youngster 222 joined the first group and started to play fight with the two yearlings 270 and 271. They were having lots of fun. When they were done, both yearlings wandered over to say hello. They were both very friendly today.
The two groups came together at around 10:40, and all fifteen cows wandered off together, grazing in a north-westerly direction.
Despite another good search, particularly of the Shell garage end of the site, I wasn't able to find the seven Sussex cattle today. They had vanished again.
The fifteen cows that were found were all good today.
