Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Monday 11th August - All 25 seen

     Between 06:00 - 08:15

All 25 have been seen this morning in two groups, the first group of 8 which included the 7 Sussex’s and 219 were at ///sonic.march.between which is approx. 50 meters south of the JB pond. All looked well with a couple of the Sussex’s yet to get up so clearly enjoying a bit of a lay-in.

The second group of 17 were to scattered to the north of the horse pond. Again all looked well despite the amount of flies, grazing on the heather and grass. I could not see feel the lump on 072 so hopefully that has now disappeared. Hopefully Gordon can confirm when he next sees her.

All the cattle were good today enjoying the early morning sunshine, hopefully they will find some shade later in the day.
