Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Monday 4th August - All 25 seen

     Between 06:00 - 08:30

All have been seen in 3 groups, the first group of 12 found were at ///winks.pushes.hardly at the west end of the sandy plain. They all look good apart from the huge amount of flies and that due to restrictions they can’t go to the other end. This used to be a popular route for them which would end up at the cow shed which they also can’t get too!

The second group including the Sussex’s were at ///living.vibrate.league which is about half way between the sandy area and horse pond. Apart from the flies they were all good grazing and chewing their cud.

The last group of 5 including Brie and Sarah were at ///burns.alleyway.troubles which is north west of the horse pond. Again all looked good, I didn’t notice the lump that Gordon mentioned yesterday so hopefully it has cleared up.

All the cattle were good today and I’m sure would benefit from some fly spray.

I have added a couple of extra pictures of the local wildlife just for interest
