Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Tuesday 11th March - All 25 seen

A mixed group of eighteen cattle were lying down, resting and chewing their cud under the trees near ///beaks.silent.hired, by the Shell garage, at 14:00 this afternoon. When the sun occasionally broke through the clouds, they looked especially content. The whole group was very relaxed and in good health. Youngster 217 was nestled deep in the gorse bushes on the opposite side of the track, while older steer 20 wrestled with branches to the northeast near ///munch.minority.spend. His leg looked much the same as it did on Sunday and wasn't causing him any issues. Both were doing well. The final five were on Sandy Hill near ///gracing.essay.issue at 14:45. Cows 72 and 214, along with steers 35 and 271, were lying down, chewing their cud, while cow 234 stood before wandering off to graze. Cow 214 got up to greet me, enjoyed a back rub, then lay back down. Meanwhile, youngster 271 had cocooned himself in gorse. All five were happy, relaxed, and looking well. The cows were all good today.
