Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Wednesday 26th March - All 25 seen

A mixed group of nineteen cattle were resting near ///variation.vase.inflates, in the pasture southwest of Horse Pond, at 14:10 this afternoon. Most were relaxing and chewing their cud, while a few dozed in the warm sunshine. They all looked very comfortable, with some occasionally stretching out fully on their sides. The cattle were happy, relaxed, and looking well.

As I approached, I spotted the last two members of the final group of six getting up and having a stretch before scratching their heads against the trees. Steers 21, 197, and 210, along with cows 211, 212, and 1396, had been resting under the trees near ///polka.tools.handfuls by Odiham Road at 15:05. After saying hello, they began grazing in the surrounding area before wandering into the gorse bushes to the east. Cow 211 was especially friendly, enjoying a long neck rub before rewarding me with a few licks. All six were happy and healthy.

The cows were all good today.
