Thanks Gordon for your post.
Jack, our Senior Estates Manager, who oversees the grazing has made some changes as the MoD have consented to filming on Caesars Camp. The No Fence boundary at James Bond pond is only there because the filming unit are basing filming there and aren't keen on a cow in the back of the shot! Other changes have been made to exclude cows from the damaged lead area fence area, encourage more grazing on the Gelvert side of the internal fence and keep cows away from the fence alongside Sandy Hill due to vandalism of the gates/fences which might lead to cattle escaping.
Once the filming finishes we can re-adjust boundaries, although MoD have consented it for all of August.
Thanks as ever for all your help looking after the cattle.
Thank you very much for your blog post, Dave — it's greatly appreciated and really helpful to understand the reasons behind the recent changes.
