Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Sunday 4th June - All 15 seen

After a long and uneventful wander around Caesar's, I found twelve of the cows at 11:20, at pretty much where I started my search 😀. The five older steers, cows 20, 21, 30, 33 and 35, plus youngster 217 were lying down relaxing and chewing their cud in the area around ///taker.bring.trade.  They weren't being put off by the warm sunshine.

Youngsters 219, 220, 222 and 228 plus yearlings 270 and 271 were standing in the trees to the left of the first group.  Youngsters 219 and 222 soon went out and lay down with the other group.  The remaining four lay down under the shade of the trees.  Youngster 217 soon joined them, taking a break from the sun.

The other three were found in the cow shed at 12:15.  Cows 72 and 230 were lying down relaxing and chewing their cud.  Older cow 940 was standing doing the same.  It was nice to see them safely using the cow shed after my glass picking yesterday.

The cows were all good today.
