Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Thursday 8th June - All 15 seen - issue with Sandy Hill kissing gate

Cows 20, 72, 219, 228, 230, 270, 271 and 940 were all grazing in the area around ///airbag.longingly.bandaged at 17:40 this evening.  They were all happily munching on fresh grass in the warm sunshine.

Older cows 21 and 33 were lying down resting around ///chromatic.first.flight, just along from the Lookout at 18:25.  They were very relaxed and were chewing their cud.

The other five, cows 30, 35, 217, 220 and 222, were all busy grazing in the thicket in the area around ///weedy.melt.stir about forty five minutes later.  They were spread out but were all happily munching away.

The kissing gate closest to the cow's favourite Sandy Hill corner was pushed back beyond its rear arm again at 17:25 this evening.  Unfortunately, I was not able to force it back.

The cows were all good tonight.
