Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Wednesday 14th June - All 15 seen

The cows were all grazing in the area around ///type.badge.slips at 17:05 this evening.  They had all been lying down, resting amongst the trees at ///cult.scarf.snake.   I caught the final stragglers coming out of the trees and crossing the path into the thicket from afar.

The fifteen cows were spread out, but were all munching on the long grass as they wandered west along the pasture.  By 17:40 they had all reached the same area where they were found yesterday, around ///exams.duos.spun.  They were all very relaxed and continued to graze happily in the sunshine.  A few wandered over to say hello and to get a head scratch.   The cows were obviously hungry and were enjoying the fresh grass, as they were still enthusiastically munching when I left them at 18:30.

The cows were all good this evening.
