Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Saturday 18th November - All 19 seen

Older steer 35 plus youngers 214, 215 and 230 were all grazing along the side of the main path around ///metals.headstone.pelt at 10.30 this morning.  They were all rather wet but were happy enough.  Cows 21, 72, 217, 219, 222, 227, 228 and 271 were all grazing among the trees behind them.  They were mainly munching on leaves from the various bushes.  After spending some time with them, I started to climb the hill up to the Lookout and youngster 230 decided to follow me.  He soon gave up though and returned to grazing.

The other seven cows were found in the area around ///calms.users.diamonds just along from the Lookout at 11:00.  Cows 30, 33, 220, 234, 270 and 940 were all either munching on heather or standing chewing their cud.  They were all happy and relaxed.  Older steer 20 was munching on gorse in the bushes behind them.  He did come out for a short while before heading back in to munch some more.

There was the annual Brutal - Spider Hill tough running 5K and 10K races on Caesar's today.  The cows wisely stayed out of competitor's way.  The organisers were gathering their signage when I said goodbye to the first group of cow's at just before noon.

The cows were all good today.
