Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Tuesday 14th November - All 19 seen

Cows 21, 35, 72, 217, 219, 228, 230 and 940 were all spread out grazing on both sides of the path around ///ruler.fetch.inch at 15.00 this afternoon.  They were mainly eating gorse and leaves from the trees and bushes.  They were all rather damp but were looking well.

Cows 33, 215, 227, 234, 270 and 271 were all found deep in the gorse bushes around ///hill.bricks.flops a short while later.  They were all happily munching away.

Cows 20, 30, 214, 220 and 222 were all grazing amongst the thicket on the other side of the path around ///vines.truck.copy.  They were mainly eating gorse and heather.

The cows started to congregate in the area around ///sands.blank.page where they continued to graze at around 15.40.  They then wandered off in a westerly direction to graze a bit more.

Gypsy (steer 227) was walking even better today than when I saw him yesterday.  I'm so happy he's recovered so quickly.  He stopped eating for a bit to wander over and say hello.

The cows were all good today.
