Steers 20, 21, 30, 220, 222 and 228 were grazing near ///subtitle.bags.apples at 16:40 this afternoon. The weather was quite miserable with frequent heavy downpours, so the boys were rather wet. Steer 20 was initially searching for acorns under the trees on the far side of the path before moving to graze in the thicket. Despite the rain, they all looked well.
Cow 940 was grazing on the slope of Sandy Hill near ///jugs.tram.disband at 17:00. Steers 217 and 270, along with cow 234, were grazing in the gorse bushes near the top of the slope, wisely taking shelter from a heavy shower. All four were doing well.
At 17:25, steers 33 and 35, along with cows 72 and 214, were found grazing near ///fire.dreams.mailers. They had clearly been caught in the downpour, as they were all soaked. Nearby, steers 227 and 230, along with yearling 271, were grazing on the James Bond pond side of the dense gorse bushes. Youngster 230 was enjoying some leaves before coming over to say hello. I had a good search for the missing steer 219 but couldn't find him.
As I was walked towards the far end of the site to find the Sussex cattle, I passed the first two groups again. By 18:05, the boys had crossed over the path and were sheltering under the trees near ///refer.forks.yummy. The second group of four were grazing in the pasture to the west and looked like they would soon join the boys.
Sussex cows 211, 212 and 1396 were grazing in the pasture near ///spare.bill.trace at 18.20. They were all friendly and came over to greet me. They were relaxed and looking well. The four Sussex steers were grazing in the thicket to the northeast. Just as I had given up on finding all the cows today, I was surprised to spot youngster 219 grazing with the steers in the bracken. They were all doing well.
The cows were all good today.
