Steers 20 and 21 were grazing in the thicket to the east of Horse Pond at 16:25. Steers 30, 33, 35, 217, 220, 222, 227, 228 and 271 plus cows 214, 215 and 234 were all grazing in the pasture around ///bride.blink.gaps a short time later. They were all enjoying lots of fresh grass. The cows started to lie down and relax at 16.45. Just as I was leaving, the first two steers came wandering along to join them. The cows were all happy, relaxed and looking well.
Steer 230 was initially lying down to the side of the Lookout at 17.00. Cows 72 and 940 plus steers 219 and 271 were standing and relaxing. It looked like they hadn't long got up. I had only just arrived, and before I got a good look at her ear, older cow 940 went down the side of the hill to the east of the Lookout, munching on the bushes as she went. Shortly after, the others followed her down the slope.
Sussex cows 212 and 1396 plus steer 1626 were all happily eating grass on the side of the hill around ///yacht.after.rots at 17:25. The other four were munching on gorse in the bushes to the southwest around ///beakers.fabric.direct. They were all happy and looking well.
I returned to the second group, who were now spread out grazing in the area around ///array.totals.sticks at 18.00. There had been some contractors with mini-diggers working in the area to the northeast earlier. Cow 940's ear looks infected and appeared more "angry" today than it had at the weekend. I also noticed she had a pink patch on the inside of her front right leg. Photos below. Otherwise, she seemed fine and was enjoying her dinner. I really hope her ear is going to be okay.
With the exception of cow 940, the cows were all good today.
