Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Wednesday June 5th- all 25 good!

    Hi everyone!

I realised my posts from the last 6 months had never posted, I think I was saving them to drafts instead of posting (oops) but I promise I have been looking and loving these cattle for a while now!

Today the 18 main cattle were at ///overheat.disco.finally all very sleepy and relaxing in the sun

940 (Brie) ear is looking amazing, it doesn’t look infected and now that the metal tag is gone it should heal up nicely.

The Sussex 7 were all eating at ///riverboat.stretch.line they ate a lot while I stood there and watched them for a while

When I circled back there was a maintenance van fixing the fence on the east side of Sandy hill Road, the cows were mooing and getting in the way but other than being annoying they were all good!

The lump on 228 (Gary) face hasn’t seem to have gotten any bigger but I will keep an eye on it
