Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Youngsters 214, 217 and 219 were found hunting for acorns in the woods around ///roses.rail.option at 09:30 this morning. They were all happy and relaxed. Cows 20, 21, 227, 228, 230, 234 and 271 were well spread out grazing in the thicket around ///fries.ruler.cards fifteen minutes later. Despite the bright sunshine, it was a rather fresh start to the morning. The cows were either munching on long grass, gorse or foraging for acorns. Youngsters 215, 220 and 222 plus yearling 270 were found in the woods around ///dorm.should.presses at 10:25. They were on the move, but were stopping to graze along the way. After pausing for a bit of acorn hunting, they ended up wandering all the way down to the area around ///weeps.enjoys.deeply where they started to graze. Older cows 72 and 940 were found grazing around ///clan.mothering.acids fairly close by at 10.50. They wandered down and joined the four younger cows. Despite an exhaustive search of the site, I couldn't find older steers 30, 33 and 35 today. They didn't appear to be with any of the other cows. I wandered past the area where I'd found the first group of cows, and they'd split into two groups. Steers 20, 21, 217, 219, 227 and 230 were spread out grazing around ///link.search.lawyer at 11:40. Youngsters 214, 228 and 234 plus yearling 271 were still hunting for acorns around ///music.grid.snacks at 11:55. I searched until 12:30 and still couldn't find the missing three. The cows that were found were all good.
