Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Tuesday 17th October - All 19 seen

    Older steers 20 and 35 were found together around ///moon.lazy.broadens at 16:45 this afternoon.  Steer 20 was munching on leaves from the trees, while steer 35 was standing on a little perch, chewing his cud.  He was super relaxed this evening.

    Cows 21, 33, 214, 217, 219, 227, 228, 230 and 271 were found spread out in the area around ///whisk.restore.guru at 17.00.  Most were munching on grass, leaves, heather and some gorse.  The others were foraging for acorns.  It was nice to see youngster 230 in daylight today 😀.  They were all happy and relaxed.

    Cows 215 and 234 plus youngster 270 were hunting for acorns in the area around ///buzz.props.statue at 17.30.  Youngster 220 was foraging for acorns under the tree on the opposite side of the path at ///buzz.props.statue, with youngster 222 searching under the trees over the path to the east of him.  Older cows 30, 72 and 940 were grazing further to the east of the same path.

    The cows were all good this evening.
