Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Wednesday 11th October - All 19 seen

The seven older cows were together in the area around ///pirates.elect.limit at 16:35 this afternoon.  Cows 30, 33, 35, 72 and 940 were all lying down relaxing and chewing their cud.  Older steer 20 got up and had a stretch, but soon lay back down.  Older steer 21 was standing chewing his cud but wandered off to munch on some leaves from the nearby bushes.

Youngsters 214, 217, 220, 222, 227, 228 and 234 plus yearling 270 were all grazing in the area around ///hobby.forge.costly fifteen minutes later.  They were fairly widely spread but were all happy, relaxed and enjoying the grass.

After a long walk around the site trying to find youngsters 215, 219 and 230 plus yearling 271, I found all four grazing around ///quail.bleaker.slopes at 18.25 just as I was about to lose the light.  They were all happily munching away.  The seven older cows were spread out, grazing close by.

The cows were all good today.
