Steers 21 and 227 were grazing in the area around ///happy.going.aspect at 09:40 this morning. Cows 214 and 215 plus steers 20, 217, 219, 220, 222, 228, 230, 270 and 271 were widely spread out grazing in the surrounding area. All thirteen cows continued to graze, wandering northeast to the area around ///bands.punk.raft when I left them about thirty minutes later. There was a large military presence on site today, with the cows heading in the direction of their camp on the far side of the trees at the west end of the sandy bowl.
Cows 72 and 940 plus steers 30 and 33 were lying down, resting and chewing their cud in the area around ///curry.fees.loose at 10:15. Steer 35 and cow 234 were grazing close by. They were all looking well.
The seven Sussex cattle were back together and were lying down, relaxing and chewing their cud around ///snows.snug.bolsters at 10:40. They had all made comfy beds out of the heather. They were all looking well.
I've noticed a couple of times this week that the collar on cow 212 isn't always working. The collar on steer 1640 has never worked. There was no tracking available for the Sussex group this morning.
The cows were all good today. However, a number of the cows had tick bites again today, which were more visible on the British Whites.
