Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Tuesday 2nd April - All 26 seen

Cows 211, 212, 214 and 234 plus steers 210, 217, 222, 228 and 230 were grazing in the area around ///exam.slows.trout at the Royal Pavilion end of the site at 16:40.  They were just under the trees, sheltering from the rain, which hadn't long started.  They were all happy and relaxed and seemed to be settling back nicely into life on Caesar's.

Steers 20, 21, 30, 33, 35 and 219 plus cow 215 were grazing a bit further northeast, around ///exam.slows.trout a short time later.  They were all under the cover of the trees, eating in the thicket.  They were all looking well.   The first nine cows soon joined them.

The other ten, cows 72, 940 and 1396 plus steers 197, 220, 227, 270, 271, 1626 and 1640, were found grazing around ///since.adapt.parks at 17:30. They had recently come down from Sandy Hill. They weren't being put off by the rain, which was getting heavier. The cows were happily eating lots of grass. They were all happy, relaxed and looking well.

As I was leaving, I ran into the first sixteen cows again at 18:05.  They were spread out, wandering along the path around ///crust.fame.reissued.  They appeared to be heading in the direction of Horse Pond, grazing as they went.

The cows were all good today.  It was lovely to see that we still had a mixture of Shetlands, British Whites and Sussexes in both groups.
