Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Tuesday 23rd April - 20 seen

Cow 1396 and steer 1626 were lying down, relaxing and chewing their cud in the area around ///cupboards.await.models at 16:30 this afternoon.  Cows 211 and 212 were grazing close by.  Both of whom came over and said hello.  As I was leaving them, cow 212 also lay down and started to rest.

A mixed group of twelve cows had come together in the area around ///flag.charm.times at 17:10.  They had all been grazing in the surrounding thicket beforehand.  They were fairly well spread out but were all enjoying lots of fresh grass.  The cows were all happy, relaxed and looking well.

Stteers 20 and 1640 plus cows 72 and 940 were grazing to the south in the area around ///exist.metals.sings at 17:40.  They were all happily eating.

Despite an extensive search lasting until just after 18:45, I was not able to find the other six cows tonight.  No idea where steers 21, 35, 220, 222 and 228 plus cow 234 were hiding out.

The cows that were found were all good today.
