Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Tuesday 12th December - Grazing Team Conditon Assesment All 19 found

    Hi All,

Came today to do a condition check of the cows of Ceasers heading into winter (especially the British Whites who tend to fair poorly on heathland sites)

I found the first four at the beginning of Sunny Hill Estate. 217, 21, 30 (missing left eat tag) and 33. Handily having a collar on them.

Found another 9 not to far away but drew them down to the wider part of Sunny Hill in order to put the nuts down for the safety of the public.

    72, 219, 1940, 230, 20, 722, 222

277 (British White) Great Conditon no concerns

214 (British White) Also in great condition no concerns (Politely weary of me taking pictures)

The final 6 I found down by the water tower, clearly on the move somewhere.

    220, 270, 271, 35

234 (British White)  Great Conditon no concerns

215 (Britah white) Great Conditon no concerns

All 19 are looking really well, very pleased. It seemed these 6 were in the pursuit of shelter as it promptly chucked it down soon after I found them!

As always thank you so much for keeping an eye on them (Gordon!)

    Grazing Team
