Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Wednesday 13th December - 13 seen

Older cow 940 was lying down, relaxing in the area around ///bets.miss.riots at the Royal Pavilion end of site at 12.20.   Older cow 72 plus steers 219, 222 and 227 were standing close by chewing their cud.  They were all happy and relaxed.  Youngster 217 was busy eating leaves in the wooded area to the southeast.

Youngsters 214, 228 and 230 were lying down together around ///rent.trap.extra twenty minutes later.  Youngster 214 was relaxing and chewing her cud while the boys were snoozing.  Youngster 230 was properly sprawled out.   Older steers 21 and 33 were lying down, relaxing amongst the bracken close by.

Older steer 30 was happily munching on gorse in the bushes around ///scouts.rent.tooth at 12:55.  Steer 20 was munching on gorse and heather close by.  They were both good.

Despite an extensive search of the site, I couldn't find cows 35, 215, 220, 234, 270 or 271 today.  The rain had started, so suspect they had hidden themselves away somewhere.

Was delighted to read that all the Caesar's cows got a clean bill of health following the Grazing Team's checks yesterday.
