Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Tuesday 19th December - All 19 seen

Fourteen very wet cows were well spread out in the area around ///fats.span.beats at the Royal Pavilion end of the site at 12.55 this afternoon.  Despite the rain, most were happily grazing.  Cows 21, 33, 219, 230, and 940 preferred to stand and relax, chewing their cud.  They weren't bothered in the slightest by the rain.  Cow 234 appeared well again today, happily munching on grass and leaves.  The red scratch on steer 227's head wasn't visible today and had probably washed away.  He was good today.

Cow 72 was eating holly leaves by herself in the area around ///ladder.guitar.smile near the Bourley Road at 13.30.   She was thoroughly enjoying them.

The final four, steers 35, 217, 220 and 228, were found grazing in the area around ///tight.swaps.fade not too far from the cow shed at 13:50.  They were all happy and relaxed.  The other cows had started to make their way over to this area, where they continued to graze.

The cows were all good today.
