Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Tuesday 5th December - 17 seen

Steers 20 and 30 were grazing on the side of Sandy Hill opposite Horse Pond around ///diner.tucked.sonic at 12:10 this afternoon.  They were munching on heather.  They were really wet and looking rather sorry for themselves.

Steers 33, 35 and 219 were munching on heather around ///stole.pads.gobbles just south of the Lookout at 12:25.  Cow 215 and steer 220 were in the gorse bushes across the path from them.  They soon came out and said hello.  Cow 214 and steers 217, 222, 228, 230, 270 and 271 were all found in the area around ///huts.fragment.sublet soon after.  They all wandered into the gorse bushes and cut through to meet up with the first five cows, where they all proceeded to munch on heather.

Cows 72, 234 and 940 were found grazing to the west of James Bond pond in the area around ///grafted.soil.cheeks at 13:05.  All three were happy and relaxed.

Despite an extensive search, I wasn't able to find steers 21 and 227 today.  I did circle back round the first two groups just to see if they had joined them, but they hadn't.  The group of twelve had all moved down to the wooded area around ///lakes.invent.alike where they were continuing to graze.  Steer 30 was lying down in the area around ///blotchy.sailors.snowy near Horse Pond at 13.35.  Steer 20 was standing close by, chewing his cud.

The cows that were found were all good today.
