Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Saturday 3rd August - All 25 seen

The seven Sussex cattle were found grazing in the area near ///heap.solid.saves at 10:25 this morning. They were all happy, relaxed and looking really well. They all came and said hello, with several enjoying back rubs.  Cow 211 was her usual super friendly self and gave me some head rubs and licks after receiving a long neck rub.
A mixed group of eleven originals were spread out in the area just to the southeast of James Bond pond around ///slave.toggle.ringers at 10:55.  Most were lying down, relaxing and chewing their cud.  Steer 227 came over and said hello and was happy to stand for a back rub. Cow 214 was very friendly too. Youngster 230 was doing his best to hide in the heather.  By 11:15, they were all lying down and resting. They were all looking well.
The other seven originals were found on both sides of the path at the west end of Sandy Hill near ///method.grasp.tulip at 11:20. Steers 21, 30, 33 and 270 plus cows 72 and 940 were all lying down, relaxing and chewing their cud.  Yearling 271 was initially standing but soon lay down. Yearling 270 had managed to wash all the mud from his face and was looking his usual handsome self. This group were all happy, relaxed and looking well.
The cows were all good today.
