Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Sunday 18th August - 17 seen

Cow 214 and steers 20, 227 and 271 were found grazing in the long grass around ///thick.giant.mock at 10:30 this morning. They were all happy and relaxed. After about ten minutes, steer 20 and cow 214 crossed over the path and headed off in the direction of Horse Pond. The boys continued to graze. Steer 227 took a break and came over for a back rub.

Cow 212 was grazing just along from Horse Pond near ///predict.affair.vowel at 11:00. I could see a few other cows moving through the trees to the northwest while I was saying hello. A mixed group of fourteen cows were spread out grazing among the heather and bracken in the pasture around ///studs.shaves.cheeks shortly after. This included steer 20 and cow 214. Cow 212 soon joined them too. They were all happy, relaxed and looking well. Youngster 227 and yearling 271 came wandering along and joined them at 11:25. The yearling mooed a couple of times as he arrived. Despite a very long look, I could not find steers 21, 33, 35, 219, 220, 222, 230 and 270 today. The cows that were found were all good.
