Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Monday 25th September - All 19 seen

A much shorter and later visit than normal to Caesar's this evening.

Older cow 20, youngster 222 and yearling 270 were all grazing in the thicket around ///decking.neon.wires on the east side of Horse Pond at 18.25.  They soon climbed up the bank and onto the path at the side of the pond.  They were all looking well.

The other sixteen cows were well spread out in three smaller groups in the area around ///rosette.lofts.feuds about fifteen minutes later.   They were all happily grazing, with most of them munching on heather.  Youngster 217 was continuing his acorn hunt down in the trees around ///amps.acre.winning.  He had roped youngsters 220 and 230 into helping.   The first three cows soon turned up and started to graze as well.

It was great to see the cows all back together this evening.  They were all happy and very relaxed.  The light was fading quickly just after 19:00, so I said goodbye to them while they grazed.

The cows were all good today.
