Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Thursday 7th September - All 19 seen

Cows 20, 21, 33, 35, 228 and 234 were all happily grazing in the area around ///smart.gold.admits at 17:30 this evening.   They were munching on the lush green grass and the bramble bushes.

Youngsters 215, 219, 222 and 230 were all grazing a bit further along the path.   They were all happy and very relaxed.

The other nine cows were all close by, grazing amongst the thicket in the area around  ///chip.lasted.vines.   They were enjoying the bramble bushes, leaves from the trees and the fresh grass.  The initial ten cows soon made their way into this area and the whole herd continued to graze.   The cows were an awful lot happier this evening, despite there still being a lot of flies about.   Also confirmed, this is the area where the cows are picking up the sticky burrs.

The cows continued to graze in the thicket, eventually emerging on the far side in the area they were found yesterday.   Shortly after 18:20 they followed the path down to the area just along from the cow shed near Bourley Road.  They crossed over into the woods and had a rest and a drink from the numerous streams.  After a short while, the cows started to emerge in small groups and wander along to the area around ///lofts.ordeals.affords where they all started to graze again.   It was slightly cooler by this point, so they were a lot more comfortable.   I said goodbye to them at 19:00 with them all still grazing around  ///radio.gone.locals.

The cows were all good this evening.
