Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Saturday 2nd September - All 19 seen

The cows were all spread out grazing in ones, two's or three's in the area between ///fence.legs.healers and ///reply.photo.cling at 10:05 this morning.  They were mostly munching on grass, with older cows 20, 21 and 30 preferring to break branches from the trees and eat the leaves.  It took quite a bit of time to find them all, but saw some lovely colours in the heath while looking.

The cows all slowly came together in the area around ///costs.admire.edit at 11:00 where they all happily munched on the fresh grass together.  They were all very relaxed and were enjoying the warm sunshine.  They continued to graze in that general area for the next forty minutes before I said goodbye.

It was lovely to see the cows all back together and enjoying each other's company.  They had covered some distance around the site in three separate groups over the last couple of days.

The cows were all good today.
