Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Steers 30, 35, 219 and 271 were happily munching on long grass in the thicket around ///door.critic.hype at 10:00 this morning.  Youngsters 217 and 220 were continuing their acorn hunting under the trees on the opposite side of the main path.   Youngster 230 was munching on grass close by.  Older steer 21 was a bit further along the path munching on leaves from the trees.   All eight cows were happy and relaxed.

Cows 20, 33, 72, 214, 215 and 228 were all grazing at the far end of Sandy Hill in the thicket around ////payback.steepest.stir at 10:25.  Cows 222, 227, 234 and 940 were munching on the grass close by, just to the east of them.   Yearling 270 was enjoying the grass on the cows' favourite corner, but soon wandered along and joined the others.  About twenty minutes later, the cows started to wander into the trees just before Hungry Hill, where they continued to graze.

The cows were all good today.
