Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Tuesday 26th September - All 19 seen

The seven older cows were found wandering slowly westwards along Sandy Hill, just along from their favourite corner, at 17:20 this afternoon.  Cows 21, 35, 72 and 940 were all happily munching on grass.  Older steers 20, 30 and 33 were taking a far more leisurely approach, wandering for a bit and then stopping to chew their cud before wandering a bit more.  They were all very relaxed and looking well.

Youngsters 214, 217, 220, 222, 227 and 234 were all grazing in the area around ///loses.cabbies.metro at 17:45.  They were all happy and relaxed.  Youngster 217 was taking a welcome break from acorn hunting this afternoon.

Youngsters 215 and 228 were lying down, resting and chewing their cud around ///inflict.refuse.childcare ten minutes later.  Youngster 230 plus yearlings 270 and 271 were grazing in the heather behind them.  Steer 219 was standing by himself, fairly close by, chewing his cud.   He was super relaxed and looked like he was deep in thought when I first wandered over to see him.

At around 18:10, the group of twelve came together and began walking in the direction of the Lookout.  They were all munching as they wandered.  They had made it to around ///coconuts.tourist.talking twenty-five minutes later.

The cows were all good today.
